organises 3 road races a year - Gallop 10k, Half Marathon &
Guy's
10 mile.
- Club
runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, detailed above.
- In
the
summer it's over the fields, various routes, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
On dark nights under the streetlights for
5 - 7
miles.
- Various
social runs regularly arranged.
- Meet
in
Sports & Social Club car park, Garstang.
- Business
meetings (and the odd drink) on first Tuesday of month in Royal Oak,
Garstang at 8:45pm.

Regular Runs
7 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sports
& Social Club car park. Summer runs through farmland and
fell. Winter runs on fully lit
footpaths or off road by torchlight.
For early risers - 8am every Sunday
from Sports & Social Club. A longer, leisurely trail run
throughout the year.
Social Runs & Events
From April
to October there are regular social runs - Tarnbrook, Chipping,
Scorton, Bleasdale, Dolphinholme, Clougha, Long Lane, BBQ,
Blackpool lights, etc. There may be a choice of routes for each run so
that the pace is suitable for all runners. These are not races
and no one is ever left
behind!
During the winter months we have occasional headtorch social runs
off-road. These may finish with light refreshments in a pub.
Business meetings
All
members are encouraged to attend and to have a say in what the club
does and how it is run. First Tuesday of the month at 8:45pm in
the back room of the Royal Oak in Garstang.
Mid Lancs Cross Country League
Six race winter series and county championship. Join our
men’s or women’s team and help them to a high place.
Club Championship Rules OK
Out
run your club mates and enter the Club Championships. Trophies
available to be won in all categories, for:
Road Runners - best of up to six
road races over a range of distances.
Fell Runners - best of
six FRA races.
Club Street Handicap
- 3 runs over the winter on a Tuesday evening
