The scenery of the Lake District was the attraction for three Garstang Running Club members at the Derwentwater Trail Race which attracted 460 other runners. First home for the club was Dave Heslop in 1 hour 18 minutes and 162nd place followed by Richard Jones, 184th in 1,18 and Tim Warner 223rd in 1.20.
The Littleborough Road and Trail 5 mile race celebrated 25 years of races in the area with Richard Roberts finishing 11th in 32.36 minutes and Denise Hughes, back on home territory, 131st in 46.45.
It was the seaside at Blackpool for the Rosemere 10K where in a field of 142 Al Hartley finished 18th in 41.20. Tony Pritchard was also the club’s only competitor at the Kirkham 10K which attracted 178 competitors with Tony finishing 33rd in 39.26 minutes
